SEE WHY THE HOMESTEAD APPROACH SHOULD BE the benchmark in a roofing inspection!
If you suspect that you have roof damage, or think that you might, the best thing to do is have it inspected for free from a local roofing contractor before you call in a claim.
Every roofer will give you a free inspection. That’s not very unique or even very helpful some of the time. Homestead Roofing will give you a Free Roof Evaluation that includes a video inspection of the roof so you can see exactly what I’m seeing, and we do this at no cost to you!
The video will give you the perspective of standing on the roof looking over my shoulder and getting my opinions and recommendations. This prevents you, as the homeowner, from having to simply trust the report you get from the roof inspector when he gets off your roof. It has also proven to be very helpful for insurance companies, adjusters, agents, realtors and property managers to have access to these video reports. Also, upon request, we can also provide a scale drawing of your roof and a pitch (angle) report.
We’re more than happy to provide this service for you because we desire to serve people and supply them with useful information. Therefore, in addition to inspecting your roof for hail or wind damage, we’ll GIVE YOU the following FOR FREE when we’re all done.
Additionally, upon request, the following items can be provided if you let us know before the inspection:
- Video inspection report of what we find on your roof!
This way, you won’t have to go on the roof yourself, and you won’t have to take our word for it if there’s damage. If there’s a problem on your roof, you’ll get to see exactly what we see and know whether or not you should file a claim with your insurance.
- A scale drawing of your roof!
You’ll know how many square feet your roof is so if you ever need that information for future insurance purposes, you’ll already have it.
- A list of the roof pitch on each slope!
This will come in handy for you if you file a claim for insurance for storm damage. Steep-pitched roofs cost more to repair or replace, so you want to make sure that your insurance claim has this information recorded. Having the information in your files enables you to verify any claim estimates.
- The elevation of your home!
Why do you need to know this? Because if your house is over 7000′, Pikes Peak Regional Building requires a product called Ice & Water Shield to be put on the roof. If you need that, you’ll want to make sure that your insurance estimate takes that into consideration. It’s just one more way we empower you to work with your insurance company.
