Shawn Stickel, Homestead Roofing's office manager, is the friendly voice that greets you when you call the office, however, answering the phones is not all Shawn is responsible for. He will have the dubious responsibility of keeping track of all of us and our jobs and making sure that we all stay on track and continue to provide each of you and our future customers with great service.
Shawn’s family, on his mother’s side, were early settlers in Colorado and El Paso county. His mother’s parents were “dry farmers” in eastern El Paso county during the “Dust Bowl” days (you can image how well that venture went), and one set of great-grandparents were ranchers out in the Simla area, and his other great-grandfather worked on the board of directors for a couple of different mining companies in the Victor/Cripple Creek district prior to becoming a general contractor in Colorado Springs where he built many homes in the downtown area.
Shawn has a depth of experience that makes him very valuable to our clients and to Homestead Roofing. He spent 21 years working at Current, Inc, beginning there right out of high school as a material handler and he worked his way up to being a manager in the purchasing department. After his stint at Current, Shawn worked for 4 years at Walter Drake before he was asked to become the Office Manager and Pastoral Assistant for Springs Reformed Church downtown, and then he added their sister church, Tri-Lakes Reformed Church to his responsibilities, too.
Shawn brings a lot of project and personnel management experience to Homestead Roofing and we believe that God has provided an excellent office manager for our company. In addition to all the great qualities Shawn brings, our office staff will remain All-In-The-Family. Shawn's also the owner's brother-in-law!
