The use of drones is becoming more common in the insurance adjusting industry, resulting in more denied roofing claims. So, what do you do if your adjuster uses a drone to inspect your roof, but then denies your claim?
Consider calling your insurance company and requesting a second inspection. However, be sure to ask for a different adjuster, and that the second adjuster not use a drone. If you’re not comfortable calling the insurance company, ask your roofing contractor to call and request the second inspection. Make sure, though, that your insurance company isn’t going to charge you for a second claim. You want to make sure that they know that you’re just asking for a reinspection for the existing claim. You don’t want to end up with a second claim on your record just because you’re asking for a second opinion
